Melamed Weight & Wellness is a Deerfield, Illinois clinic north of Chicago selling medical weight loss, hormone therapy, peptides, and aesthetic treatments to patients it sees in person. Its notable feature is the physician: Dr. Julia Melamed is named with her credentials and has run the practice for more than two decades, and she is the only prescriber the site names. The drawback is pricing: the aesthetic memberships are published to the dollar, while weight loss, hormone therapy, and peptide therapy carry no published price at all.
What it costs
Three aesthetic memberships are published: Glow Tox at $35 a month, Glow On at $169, and VIP Glow at $199, each discounting injectables by the unit, with Botox between $9 and $10 a unit for members against a list price the site gives as $13.25 on one page and $13.85 on another. The memberships page says all memberships require a six month commitment; the promotions page says twelve. Medical weight loss, GLP-1 medication, hormone therapy, and peptide therapy carry no published price, no consultation fee, and no lab fee. The GLP-1 page names Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, and Zepbound as brand-name products and gives a cost for none of them. Insurance, HSA and FSA acceptance, cancellation terms, and refunds are not addressed on the pages we checked, and the payment plans page carries no payment information. Ask which commitment length applies and what a month of treatment costs before you start.
