Function Health sells a lab-testing membership. For $365 a year, they run more than 160 lab tests twice a year through Quest, and their clinicians review the results. They are available in 48 states. Some tests they advertise, such as MRI and CT access and the Galleri cancer test, cost extra and aren't priced on their site.
The membership renews automatically. From our research, refunds are only available within 48 hours of the first purchase and before any lab work, and their FAQ says they don't refund past payments. They name their clinicians, and we found no FDA, OIG or DEA actions. Trustpilot reviewers give them 4.5 from 2,945 reviews, and the Better Business Bureau gives them a B minus.
What it costs
The membership is $365 a year, which Function advertises as $1 a day charged annually. That covers 160 or more lab tests a year, testing twice a year and on demand, clinician review of every result, and a personalized protocol. Several things sit outside it and are not priced on the pages we checked: access to MRI and CT, the Galleri multi-cancer test, Alzheimer's and brain testing, and mold reactivity testing are all listed without a figure, and testing an extra biomarker on demand carries what Function calls an additional member-only cost, also unstated. Function is offered through more than 2,000 Quest locations across 48 states, not yet Rhode Island, Hawaii or Puerto Rico. The terms are where to look before paying. The subscription renews automatically for additional periods at Function's then-current fee unless you decline to renew. A full refund is available only if you cancel within 48 hours of the initial purchase and have not received any lab testing services; after 48 hours, or once you have received lab testing, whichever comes first, you are no longer eligible for a refund of the subscription fee. The FAQ puts it more bluntly: Function does not offer refunds for prior payments. Membership cannot be paused, only cancelled and restarted.

What patients report
The two independent sources read differently, and the difference is worth understanding. Trustpilot shows 4.5 stars across 2,945 reviews, 74 percent five-star and 6 percent one-star, with the newest dated September 7, 2026. The Better Business Bureau file shows a B minus grade, no accreditation, 64 complaints closed in three years, 29 customer reviews, and the file opened July 2, 2024 against a business start of June 1, 2021. The BBB lists the number of complaints and the length of time the business has taken to respond to them as the reasons for the grade. The complaints cluster where the terms above predict: members automatically charged $365 at renewal, and the 48-hour refund window leaving people who noticed the charge later without a refund. A third theme is access, with one complainant writing that the nearest Quest draw location was 3 to 4 hours away, and one describes an AI chat bot standing between them and a person. Reddit was not sampled.
