Maven Clinic is a women's and family health platform founded in 2014 and offered through more than 2,300 employers and health plans, which makes it free for their members. They also sell directly. GLP-1 care is $39 for the first month, then $150 a month, with medication billed separately by your own pharmacy. Hormone care is a one-time $150 for two video visits. Single virtual visits start at $29.
They name their chief medical officer, Dr. Neel Shah, but not the clinicians who treat direct patients. They prescribe only FDA-approved GLP-1 drugs, filled at your own pharmacy. We found no FDA, OIG or DEA actions, and we haven't checked LegitScript. There's little independent review data on direct care: 12 Trustpilot reviews, mostly about their employer reimbursement tool.
What it costs
What you pay depends on how you reach Maven. If your job or health plan offers it as a benefit, Maven says you get full access for free. Buying directly, there are three published prices. GLP-1 Care is a membership at $39 for the first month and $150 a month after that, covering on-demand clinician visits and messaging, two free specialist consultations in nutrition and strength, side effect management, and FDA-approved GLP-1 prescriptions, which Maven says are never compounded. Medication is not in that fee: membership and medication are billed separately, with medication filled and billed by your own pharmacy, from $149 a month self-pay or as low as $25 a month with insurance. Hormone Care is a $150 one-time payment for two 20-minute video consultations with a hormone health specialist, up to 20 clinician messages and a personalized care plan; the cost does not include medication, and the one-time fee is not covered by insurance, though the medication may be. The Virtual Clinic is pay as you go with no subscription, as low as $29 per visit, varying by provider type and appointment length, with the price shown before booking; Maven says insurance-covered care there is coming soon.

What patients report
There is little independent evidence about the direct programs. Trustpilot shows 3.8 stars across 12 reviews, 75 percent five-star and 17 percent one-star, with the newest dated September 6, 2026, and the negative reviews there concern the Maven Wallet, the reimbursement tool employers offer, with reviewers describing slow and confusing reimbursement rather than clinical care. The Better Business Bureau file for Maven Clinic Co. shows a B grade, no accreditation, four complaints closed in three years with one listed as not resolved, no customer reviews, and the file opened May 20, 2025 against a business start of December 12, 2018. Twelve reviews and four complaints cannot describe the experience of a platform Maven says covers more than 2,300 employers and health plans. Reddit was not sampled.
