Maximus is an Austin telehealth provider selling testosterone protocols, GLP-1 weight-loss medication and lab panels in 40 states. Injectable testosterone is $199.99 a month month to month, $149.99 on a 3-month plan and $99.99 on a 6-month plan. Labs are a separate yearly subscription, $199.99 or $349.99. Committed plans can't be ended early or partly refunded, and prescription sales are final. The money-back guarantee page linked from their site returned an error when we checked.
The FDA issued a warning letter to Maximus Health, Inc. dba Maximus on June 8, 2026. We found no close-out letter for it in FDA records checked on September 23, 2026. They name their founder, S. Cameron Sepah, PhD, a clinical psychologist, but we couldn't find which pharmacies they use. We haven't checked LegitScript. Trustpilot reviewers give them 4.4 from 1,070 reviews.
What it costs
Testosterone protocols start at $99.99 a month. Injectable testosterone shows the plan structure: $199.99 a month month to month, $149.99 a month on a 3-month plan, and $99.99 a month on a 6-month plan, with the first month at $49.99 on the 6-month plan as a limited-time offer. Compounded weight-loss medication is listed from $198 per 28-day supply for tirzepatide and from $116 for semaglutide, while the comparison table on the same page gives compounded medication as $149.99 to $249.99 a month, and brand-name medication from $499 a month although the brand-name cards on that page start at $199.99. Labs are a separate annual subscription that renews automatically: $199.99 a year for the Optimal Panel or $349.99 for the Maximal Panel, with a one-time Essential Panel at $99.99. HSA and FSA cards are accepted for weight-loss treatment. The terms are strict. All sales of prescription medication are final, with a return window of zero days; committed multi-month plans run to the end of the term and are not eligible for early termination or a partial refund; and fees for consultations and laboratory testing are non-refundable. Maximus's science page says you may be eligible for your money back if at-home lab testing does not show increased testosterone, but the guarantee page it links to returned an error when we checked. Availability is described two ways: the company facts page says GLP-1 programs are available in all 50 states and Washington DC, while the weight-loss page says they are available in all states but Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana.

The one-star reviews concern billing and support: one reviewer writes that charges continued and were $134, not $99, another describes repeated attempts to cancel, and others describe reaching only an AI chat bot. Maximus has two Better Business Bureau files at the same Santa Monica address. The one for Maximus Health, Inc shows a B plus grade, no accreditation, seven complaints closed in three years, three customer reviews, and the file opened June 17, 2024 against a business start of February 16, 2021. The one for Maximus Tribe shows a B minus grade, no accreditation, 18 complaints closed in three years, 18 customer reviews, and the file opened July 7, 2025. Reddit was not sampled.
