Online GLP-1 and weight-loss clinics: prices, pharmacies and public records

Four pages on this site answer the four questions people ask before they pay a GLP-1 provider: what the national brands charge once the medication is counted, which providers rank highest on the public record, and what compounded tirzepatide and semaglutide cost month to month. Each number below comes from a dated check of the provider’s own site. Pick the question you have; the directory of every provider Vial has reviewed is at the bottom.

Start with the three questions that matter

1. What medication are they actually offering?

Some clinics prescribe branded GLP-1 medications like Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, or Zepbound.

Others offer compounded semaglutide or tirzepatide through a compounding pharmacy.

Those are not the same thing.

Before signing up, confirm:

  • whether the medication is branded or compounded
  • which pharmacy fills it
  • what happens if availability changes
  • whether the medication cost is included in the advertised price

2. What is the real monthly cost?

Many clinics advertise a low monthly price.

That price may only cover the membership, consult, or platform fee.

Medication, labs, shipping, dose increases, or follow-up visits may cost more.

Before paying, ask:

What is the total monthly cost including medication?

If the clinic will not answer clearly before checkout, compare another option.

3. Who is managing your care?

“Physician supervised” can mean very different things.

In one program, a clinician may review labs, adjust dose, and follow your progress.

In another, the process may be mostly automated.

Before enrolling, ask:

  • who prescribes the medication
  • whether they are licensed in your state
  • how often you can contact them
  • what happens if you have side effects

Questions to ask before choosing a clinic

Ask these before you sign up:

  1. Is the medication branded or compounded?
  2. Which pharmacy fills the prescription?
  3. Is medication included in the monthly price?
  4. Are labs, shipping, and dose increases included?
  5. Who prescribes the medication?
  6. Are they licensed in my state?
  7. What happens if I stop or cancel?
  8. What happens if compounded GLP-1 availability changes?

What Vial checks before you enroll

Vial does not decide whether a clinic is right for you.

We organize the public information that helps you compare.

For weight-loss clinics, we look for:

  • listed monthly pricing
  • whether medication appears included
  • pharmacy or fulfillment information
  • physician or clinician disclosure
  • state availability
  • FDA, OIG, DEA, and other public-record signals
  • accreditation or certification references

Missing information does not always mean something is wrong.

It does mean you should ask before paying.

Do not compare GLP-1 clinics on price alone.

Choose the clinic that gives you the more transparent answers.

Vial scores summarize public records, provider disclosures, and accreditation sources we were able to check. A score is not an endorsement or medical recommendation. Confirm pricing, pharmacy, and clinician details directly before enrolling.

Questions

Common questions

Are compounded GLP-1 medications the same as Ozempic or Wegovy?

No. Branded medications are FDA-approved products made by the original manufacturer. Compounded medications are prepared by compounding pharmacies and are not FDA-approved products.

Why do some clinics advertise such low prices?

The advertised price may only cover the membership, consult, or platform access. Medication can be separate. Always ask for the total monthly cost including medication.

How do I check the pharmacy?

Ask for the pharmacy name. Then check its state license, accreditation status, and any public inspection, warning, or recall history.

Is a clean public record a guarantee?

No. A clean public record is not an endorsement or medical recommendation. It only means Vial did not find certain public actions in the records checked.

What is the best GLP-1 clinic?

There is no single best clinic for everyone. Compare medication type, total cost, pharmacy information, clinician access, state availability, and cancellation terms before choosing.

The Vial Score reflects what Vial can verify from public federal and state records, provider disclosures, and accreditation databases. A high rating is not an endorsement, and Vial's verification is not a clinical recommendation. Scores are not a substitute for evaluating whether a specific protocol is appropriate for you.
